Yes, it is indeed on this year... Due to some staff changes at the venue, the site was not confirmed as available until quite late. Anyway things are still going on as planned previously.
The date is September 16TH **** CANCELLED due to strongly poor forecast**** , the location is once again in Rona Nanaimo's parking lot. Parking will be tighter this year due to a lot of stored building materials around the edges, but we will be fine. As usual there will be door prizes, possibly a raffle for a more valuable item too. And as always, this event is FREE. There are no classes, judging, trophies, etc. This is just a low-key get together to BS about VWs, at the end of the show season. Hope to see you there...

Got the "prize" I mentioned last week all tuned up and ready to go. Especially valuable for anyone with a 72 van, made in November. I'll give it to Don tonight if he gets in touch with me as I plan to be there on the 9th but you never know.

First post reflects changes brought about by much better forecast for the 16th. Organizers figured nobody has too much fun in pouring rain that is forecast for the 9th. Hope that works for people!

Sounds good. I had my NFLD slickers and Sou'wester gear all tuned up and ready to go, but, oh well, maybe next year I'll get to use it.

Having attended countless car shows in the past, I can tell you shows in the pouring rain are a waste of time. At this stage, all weather forecasts are showing lots of rain for Sunday. The long range shows sun for the next weekend. Let us hope that is all true...

That'd be very cool. As a senior if it was held on a weekday, I'd get a free walk on ticket, just stay on and get almost 4 hours of free car show.
