Did you replace the felt strips on the firewall before installing the tar boards? T

Horn Sounds when I turn the wheel. replaced wire through steering shaft. inspected bearing and collar re soldered the brown wire. I may be missing some grommets or spacers. Felts for Tar Boards I didn't replace them was unaware there is such a thing. I may need to do some homework. Engine seal is good.

How was your test run to Cathedral Grove on Saturday? I was going to pull over and say high (was about 4 cars back), but the combination of traffic and lack of parking made me continue on. ...I was incognito in a Real-estate agent's jeep

It was a great drive. The bug felt pretty good and ran well for me. I wanted to keep going but family matters pulled us home.

Yes the felt strips on the bars of the firewall add to the sound reduction as well there are socks stuffed in the body panels above and between the roof and firewall also felt strip used under the rear seat rail. T
