This one was for sale for very large bucks. Have not seen it since. For Rob, one of the highest hightops I ever saw! One of our customers has owned this Carat forever. It is very trick nowadays. Been getting this thing "driveable" It is bagged and has an 8 inch narrowed beam. The girlies seem to like the extra long "eyelids" too! More pictures of the South African Beetle Features king and link front suspension, swingaxle rear suspension, wide five drum brakes and right hand drive. The tailights are very bizarre, and did you note the reflectors on the front??

This is a nice late bus. As a European import, it has many unique features including.... On the outside you can see the impact strip on the bumper, lack of marker lights, and different side windows without vent windows. The camper layout inside was somewhat different too. The engine is the factory 2 litre with dual carbs. Has some neat accessories including a dealer VDO tach which sits on top of the dash and is quite funky. Once the owner paints the rims, this will be a very sweet bus.

Haven't taken any pictures at the shop for a while. This buggy is currently getting some work done to it...
I think it is one of those rare Canadian "Boomer" buggies, but someone might know more about this. I think I prefer the Meyers Manx....

Hi, I am Newby, that is my new venture, the blue dune buggie. It is my first VW. Wow do I have a lot to learn..Have worked on a lot of vehicles, but not a VW. so that is why I have joined this site, as I am quite sure I will be seeking advice from the knowledge, experience, and love that VW owners have. Sure do hope the boys in the shop are having fun getting her street safe for me....

Welcome and hope you enjoy your buggy. Bill is the one at the shop doing the work to it. I am currently enjoying my holidays by finally working on my Ghia project. "Alltypes" on this site also has a buggy like yours, but in a rather large amount of pieces at the moment...

One of those 911 thingys that some of you might like... This one is a 1970 911T. Although fast for their time, this was rated at about 125 HP which doesn't seem like all that much. My Civic has that much and is significantly lighter. Hmmm. That is Mark's '69 Beetle that you see parked behind and you will probably see a lot of it soon as it will be a daily driver.
At the same time, a Ruby Red '66 Beetle was at the shop that I have never seen before. The owner was getting it back on the road after sitting for some time. I believe he intends to sell it, so you may see it advertised soon... It is rare to see a basically original car like this nowadays...

I like that 911. If I had an endless supply of cash, that is the car I would like sat next to my Ghia and my Bus. I would probably even want it in that colour. Or maybe Ivory, or blue, or...
I saw that red "66 last week, or at least one very like it. - I think it was Tuesday. I also saw a nice shiny black 67 Bug the same day too.

that OG 66 ruby red is number two on my all-time fave list. Probably one of the only cars I would drive stock. Obviously number one on that all-time list is a 73 super!

Here is something a bit different. This is a very nice and very original 1972 BMW 2002 tii. It is still owned by its first owner as well. The engine is going to be rebuilt by a BMW specialist, and the four speed transmission will be replaced by a 5-speed. The Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection pump will be rebuilt as well. Should be a fun drive. And Jeff's, or should I say his wife's '74 Thing. He is contemplating getting some aged sign-writing done on the sides for advertising purposes. Otherwise it is basically complete and ready to drive for now. His wife would rather it was restored nicely, and painted to stock colours and at stock height!!!

For those of you interested I saw an early white super beatle with a for sale sign in Duncan. 250-748-9317 is the phone number, name of the guy is George Croy, my daughter was even able to find out his age and what he made last year on-line??? Anyway you can recognize this beatle by the funky non standard passenger side rear view mirror. Stan
