I like the BRIEF history on your car , as well as the valuable help you received from JERRY , although your bug is still sadly lacking in the window rubber department.......

OH !!!!! YAH! TONY, I forgot to mention that I changed the window rubber. It used to be the one piece without the moulding...... No moulding kinda bothered me so I got the guy from Apple auto glass on terminal park to do it. He did an excellent job. I did buy the Cip stuff at first..... Never worked out very well, so I bought some stuff from .... Yah, you guessed it... Wolfsburg West. This stuff was quite a bit more expensive, so I asked around and the dude from Apple seemed quite excited to do it. He took great care of my car and took his time to make sure it fit perfect. Props again to the dude at Apple auto on terminal.....that I don't remember his name!

Frank's alive!!! Great to see you back Frank - Your car is looking great as usual. I'm always amazed how good your car looks, when it is a daily drier and is parked outside year round. Mine would be full of water and merrily rusting away if I tried that. It's a testament to how well it is built and maintained. I'm getting the impression that you aren't to keen on CIP parts...

Mr….. Francesca(?) is back in a big way! Good to see. You continue to drive the most recognizable Beetle in town Frank. Seems whenever I mention VWs to anyone they say, "hey, do you know about the guy that parks at RONA?". "oh yes", I reply, "he's one of the originals! You can check him out here on Shaw Cable on Youtube". Then I hightail it outta there before they recognize my ugly mug The guy at Apple Glass that I have done business with is John. He likes VWs and I have even bought some miscellaneous odd parts from him when his dad died a while back. John is a nice guy who is always willing to help and actually listen to what you are saying to him regarding what you want. He's not in it for just the money and it shows. So what will the summer bring Frank…a bigger motor or are you trying to keep your Bug as your daily?

To tell you the truth Don I don't know....I got all uninspired by events that had passed! I m hoping to get through just this thread than catch up to where I m at with this car. Than after that go from there. stainless steel!! got rid of the ceramic one as it was three years old....seems to be the lifespan of things on my car before I find an excuse to change it.

Let me tell ya, there is something very strange about seeing(and hearing) oneself on TV, LOL! Ask Russ why we were at his garage and he wasn't there…
