I'm curious if we can get a weekend of buses camping? I just walked thru "The Living Forest Campgroung" and saw some neat spots. There is two, maybe three spots, right down on the river, on a dead end road. There's even power and water! I thought if we looked into a nite or two, before school gets out, or late spring, we could camp, and not get our buses dirty (wink wink). Campfires, wonderful views, peace & quiet, all 5-20 minutes from home. Give it some thought, post what ya think, and if there's enuff enthusiasm, I'll go look into it Oh ya, all air cooleds allowed, bring your bugs and tents

CamperJam has been announced by the "Traveling Type II's" in Ab. This years event will be held on the Aug long weekend. Best part is, it's gonna be held in Golden B.C. Full amenities at the Golden Eco Adventure Ranch. That means a long drive, but no dirt roads. It's a nice two day drive, an over night in Kelowna, then off to Golden Start thinkin now, and maybe book some time off. Come camping with a bunch of like minded people who all own VW buses We had close to 50 buses last year, but only three from BC. Let's start a convoy!

I have a feeling CamperJam might be too much of an expedition for us, but camping at the Living Forest could be fun, especially on a shoulder season thus allowing campfires. Nothing better than a roaring campfire! Maybe some s'mores? YUM!

On my next days off, I'll wander over and check out what they have or what will work .... I'll have to book off a couple days, but if we can get at least four buses out, it would be cool. A great photo op, anyways!

Hey, maybe we should call it the MIACVW weenie roast event? Only some of us campers will be there, but anyone else interested can come by and regale everyone with their best VW stories while we all chow down on fireside food and, ahem, drink Fun for everyone, woo-hoo! Do the research Brent and report back. Thanks!

Sorry to disappoint you Don, but you won't be roasting your weenie camping in February in BC.... I think we have a different definition of weenie. Maybe it's because we come from different countries Two definitions of weenie come to mind for me, the hot dog variety (like from the ball park), and Steven Harp-seal (he should be clubbed- and that is coming from some who opposed seal hunting for anything other than subsistence). (sorry Tony, had to use it ).
