Here are pix and a bit of history of this car:Originally purchased on Oct. 19, 1973 from Morse Motors in Medford, OR, the car was driven for 15 years by "a little old lady" (wife's mother). It was delivered as a "radio delete" model as shown below:The factory even supplied a plastic cover plate for the antenna hole when there was no antenna. A rather scarce item nowadays.Moved in 1988 from OR to Ontario, then to BC in 1998, the car has remained in its original, "bone" stock condition; The engine was removed and misc. oil leaks were repaired in 2012. Paint is original "Texas Yellow", paint code "032". Radial tires (a factory option) replaced the original bias ply tires (except for the spare) in 1980.
With 90,000 miles on the odometer the car is still a real joy to drive and reminds you of what it felt like to drive a new (in 1973) beetle.

A beautiful creature, someday I hope a nice beetle like that will grace my driveway.

I have been lucky enough to actually drive this car, and it is a beauty! Everyone who drives slammed and modified VW's should try out a pristine stocker at some time and see how pleasant these cars really were when they were new...

I have a retired friend with a yellow '74 Standard Beetle that she bought NEW, not in as good condition as this one though, still most everything works. This summer I found a replacement tail light and a new driver's side mirror for it. It could use new front seats and tires too. Got to help people look after these beauties!
