Gordon Bay Provincial

This weekend is the "VVWC Spring Campout", held yearly at Gordon Bay on Lake Cowichan.
Rob and I attended a few years back, and have decided to head down again this year.

Its only an hour away, so if your wanting somewhere to cruise to, we'll be headed down Fri aft, til Sunday aft.

So, as promised, here's some pics from Gordon Bay

We arrived around 2 pm, after a quick pitstop in Duncan


We found a spot and got things unloaded and set up.
The back 1/2 of the campground was freshly covered with new crush, which really looked good, but GB sure didnt like it.
The sites were uber clean, quite nice I must say.



Then a 5 minute walk to the lake ....
The weather was great at the lake, a lil cool in the trees

About a dozen buses showed up. 
It was nice to see some familiar faces,and meet some new folks

This bus came from Washington, and was owned by the President of Cascade Kombis club


This couple brought this bus up from California. They now live in Vic
(found it weird to have neighbors in a blue and white Riv)


And the couple in the White Syncro, were from New Mexico I think. 
They've been on the road for just over a year, and are returning from the Arctic
The couple in the burgundy van I met last year at Bug Jam.

This real nice lookin' 71 showed up, from Duncan.

And we had the fine folks from Victoria
Here's WCP in his amazing bus. Sure nice to see Him using it


Mel brought up Mom and Dad's vanagon, and Tom drove the 23 window
