Nice tire cover on the parts bus! Mustie is entertaining to watch, but starting that old engine on an unstable stand, and without a carb is just dumb. Dumping fuel down the intake while cranking an engine with sticky valves and unknown timing is a recipe for backfire disaster, not to mention engine that hasn't run in years revving wide open. After my experience with Peter's '64 Beetle, and seeing the sludge build up in the old oil strainer, I would be very reluctant to attempt a start with old oil, unless it was very clean looking...
