I have a 71 westy with a 1600 dp. The previous owner removed the oil cooler and cut off the doghouse from the shroud and installed a remote cooler that he screwed to the back of the shroud. I'd like to get it back it the original oil cooling system. I'm looking for a shroud ,oil cooler, the 2 piece air channel tin and a mounting flange. any leads would be appreciated.

Sounds good , I'm located in the boonies outside of 100 Mile House - my daughter and her family live at Shawnigan Lk. I'm not planning a visit any time soon , but when I do , I'll give you a shout. Thanks for the reply.

Yup, outside of 100 mile is indeed "in the boonies" Been by 100 mile many times and even stopped in for a bite or two occasionally. Lived in Quesnel for a while. Most people don't realize it gets colder in that part of the country in the winter than many parts of the Yukon. Stan

I live trapped Red Squirrels, avoided twitchy Moose hiding from hunters, and got followed by Black Bears in the so-called boonies 'round 100 Mile House....but it ain't really the boonies y'know; I've lived for a time in various 'boonies', so I know

Ah but if you've lived up there you know anything beyond hope is "the boonies". Stan

I know that country well. My first job was in Quesnel beginning of Jan 1972. It was -40 in town that morning and we had to push the 66 bug for a half mile to get it started and then the square tires almost shook it apart on the way to the school. Took it to the VW dealer that afternoon and got an oil/block heater and battery blanket installed along with "new" winter tires. Fixed it good. Now here in Ladysmith everyone panics if it gets below zero C. Stan
