"Clay" on this site is who you should talk to first. He has a very large stash of VW parts, and all of them are for sale. He visits the site frequently, but send him a private message first. He might just have what you need...

Thanks for checking Clay. This is the problem I am having. Maybe the problem isn't even the ignition cylinder. When it gets pushed in like in the linked photo, the steering wheel won't lock and the key will not go back in. When I have been able to pull it back out, the steering wheel quickly locks and the key can then be pushed into the ignition and the car started. I only played with it for a second but I was really struggling to get it to pop back out this time around.

I have not seen a lock cylinder that pushes in like that before. Something weird going one there. When selecting one of your photos in IMGUR, make sure you use the second choice up from the bottom which is "BBCode (message boards and forums)" This should allow your pictures to come up directly instead of having to click on the text first...

I have ordered one from CIP1 as they came in stock. I tried to delete the post but unfortunately that just deleted the first post and kept all the replies.

Hope the quality is OK. Have had many mixed results with CIP over the years...

Let us know if it does the job! I haven't had any luck finding one here, but I'll keep my eyes open just in case.
