What does everyone use for their tinware paint? I have some Tremclad primer and black gloss, but I'm not sure how well this withstands heat. Do I need high temp paint or does the regular "no rust" paint suffice?

I have been using Rustoleum "2X" black primer and gloss black paint for awhile now. I get it from Rona, but I am sure other places sell it. You don't really need a high heat paint for the cooling tin. I have been very happy with the Rustoleum products; they spray on very nice and have a high solids content.

I'm using Dupli-Colour Engine Enamel Low Gloss Black DE1634. You don't really need the high-heat content, but this one matches the finish on the new tin pieces I buy...so if I modify a tin piece, and spray a touch up it is hidden.

I love tractor paint from tractor dealers. Its tough, runs very little, lasts forever, cheap, makes you coffee before breakfast, what more can you want. Stan
