Very nice minor project for someone.If you have to ask what it is,this is not the car for you!haha Nicest one I found in 10 years of looking.Wouldn't take much to be a summer car.$3000 pm me for pics.Thanks Rhuari

I don't know if I have seen one of those in person. Do wish I had my Aunt's old '79 Mars Red GTI, though....

Nope! I like the Mk 1's but not enough to own one (other then that specific '79 if it is still out there). The problem is we once had a huge stash of early Golf parts at the shop and there was absolutely ZERO call for any of them. Sadly they were chucked out years ago and even I didn't save anything. At least I grabbed all the used air-cooled parts we once had...
