This is an attempt to introduce myself. I've owned 3 VW buses spanning over half of my 65 years. Bought a 1979 transporter in Edmonton in 1986, lived and played in it for 10 years. It was home for summer work - firefighting Lac La Biche/Edson, AB. - other forestry work, Courtenay, Port McNeill, Woss, Maple Ridge, Williams Lake, Haida Gwai. I still have a hunched back 'cause it didn't have a pop-top. When it came time to get a real job (1995), I needed a truck. Bought a Toyota and left my VW at the dealer in/near Duncan. It was originally lime green with the exterior painted dark green; someone out there may have come across it. I found two '72 campers, here on my Salish Sea island paradise. One was mostly for parts and the other has been my baby till now. The combination of being a pensioner and rust, I have to let the Messerschmitt go. Once I figure out the photo-thing on this website, I'll be posting in the classifieds.
Cheers, Chuck B.

Thanks hightoprob: Its been fun going through all the miscellaneous VW stuff I've collected over the years. I've sorted through the junk (mostly), fixable stuff, real good stuff and new. Will be trying the imgur.com thing for photos and see how that works. The interweb is all over the map as far as a price for the bus and parts should/might be. I'll wing it.
Cheers, Chuck B.
