What heads would have originally been on a 1973 AK series Beetle engine?
By the stats, it should be a 1600cc engine producing 48 HP. It has the doghouse cooler and SINGLE PORT heads. I know there were some 1300cc engines using the dual relief AB and AC cases, but I would have expected dual port on the AK although not with any certainty.
Ring any bells for anyone?

According to ETKA, cylinder head #043.101.355.H fits:
>> AE 999 999 >> AH 500 000 AJ 000 001>> >> AK 239 493
also use: 113.109.601.D x 2
043.109.611.A x 2
So, same dual port head, with different valves.
I can't shrink down the ETKA description enough to fit in here. Email me and I can send you the info as it's laid out.
