Hi everyone! I bought a fairly rough body/roof and a pair of floor sections from a guy in Blackcreek about 20 years ago, roughed the car together, got married, bought another house, yada, yada, shelved the buggy. After a few other projects along the way, I'm finely getting back to my little bucket list entry. I've owned several beetles, a couple of type III Square backs (one I put a 350 Chev in the back of) and a static lowered Karman Ghia you couldn't roll a tennis ball under, but never a buggy. With the help of an ever widening group of other Vw-philes I'm inching ever closer to being able to drive this project.

Welcome Alan!
Will you be able to roll a tennis ball under this one? LOL! Looks like a fun build.
Cheers, Don

This is cool! We have not had anyone here building a buggy for some time. Welcome!

Thanks. Found the shell/roof of this one on Craigslist for $150 a long time ago. You sure don't see them around anymore.

Thanks Don: At least with air ride I hope to have more control than we did back in the day with the old weld-on select-a-drops, they rode like a lumber truck. My Ghia also had a stinger on it which people constantly tripped over when they came over to look at it so I painted a 'safety stripe' around the end.
