Hi everyone. I am installing new rubber seals into the triangular vent windows of my 72 Bus. Am having a time getting the rubber to sit properly into the window frame. Any hints or suggestions? Does it require adhesive or should it just fit snugly? I can get part of it in but then it pops up.

was the old seal glued in? i believe you press the glass and seal in at the same time using a jig.

I pulled the old seals out a year or so ago. Can't recall seeing glue. To me it makes sense that there would be though. I may apply some to get it started in the frame and then work my way along, reattaching and closing the window at the end to hold it in place. Of course the window had to come out!!

Use some diluted liquid dish soap to lubricate it. I've never seen glue in there, just a real tight friction fit.

I wouldn't be surprised if the new rubber does not fit as well as the original stuff did. Like pretty much all repro parts nowadays...
