Nice safety footwear! Perfect for working on cars.... Not acceptable at a Mercedes Dealership either. Lowly VW Hippie wear! But good for summertime car shows!

SO I wanted to say something about the msd setup I have and the troubleshooting that I have done to maybe help people understand a little better as well as hopefully save someone some time and effort. the reluctor on these are known to rust and cause problems. heres a picture. the blue piece you see to the left is the magnetic pick up. Instead of buying a bunch of shit and troubleshooting and emailing back and forth with the msd "tech" for weeks......all you really need to do is make sure that where the pick up comes in proximity of the furthest edge of the reluctor....is nice and clear of rust and other metal shards. The springs you see on the top are actually interchangeable. Different tensions will give you a different curve. Most people hate msd and or are afraid of installing it. It really has only left me stranded once at UVIC but I had a spare stock one in the car. Other than that I ve tried the compufire. 010 and I still like my msd the best. PS.....burned out my starter trying to fix the rusty reluctor problem.....so I bought this shiny thing!

I m running adapters on the rears. I know its not advisable to go from big bolt to small bolt...but am looking at this point to get this thing on the road as soon as I can. I have some suspension pieces but not the complete set that I want.....so instead of buying a bunch of half ass disc break parts I m just going to save up and run these CAREFULLY for a little while!

there is a pair of porsche pattern drums on airspeed, you will have to cut 5/8 off the snout to fit your early axles but then you wont have to be "careful"

DON!!!! sorry.....were you asking how the hinge pins work? To install them you gotta drill out the old hinges and slide in these ones that are slightly smaller than the stock pin. This way you can remove the decklid simply by unlatching them and removing the pins! very awesome for me! I wish I had done this ten years ago tbh!

I can understand why you wish you had done it years ago. Just a few more things under your deck lid than VW probably could have imagined
