Is this round nub the point where you jack up the front end of a Type 2 bus? (bay window)

That nub is the cap over your centre pin for the swing lever. It is thin metal and not an ideal place to place a jack.

Again, thanks Russ and Brent, that's why I asked. I'm looking at a Just Kampers "How To" video, but I can't determine exactly where they are positioning the floor jack. Below is a screenshot of how they show the jack position.

Here's something I found on the www.vwcamperandbus.com website: "jack up the front of the Bus with a trolley jack (the front beam is the best place to jack, but avoid jacking directly under the beam centre pin), then secure with two heavy duty axle stands under the front beam, the front chassis legs, or adjacent to the outriggers on the main chassis rails." I'll take that as a yes. I like to overstate the obvious when dealing with some 4,000 lbs of vehicle.

BTW, the jack stand advice worked great. Now the '73 is on hold, looks like I need to work on replacing the calipers.

Even that thread is a bit confusing. I used a 3 ton floor jack to one side of the centre, resulting in the front end raising up at a slight angle until I could slide the jack stands under the front torsion bar. It seemed to work for me.
