Hi there, we would like to get the passenger side floorpan replaced in our Super beetle and maybe even get into a full restore - we don't know who's good in the Nanaimo area. We aren’t in a rush to get the work done, but we’d like to bring the car to the place to get the ball rolling. Any suggestions who to call?

I don't think I have seen that one before... Looks decent in the photos. If you want to do the floorpans, make sure the convertible reinforcement rails are completely solid. If not then do them at the same time the pans are done. If the car needs extensive rust repairs, think carefully before proceeding as full body/chassis restorations will always cost more then a rust free example if done correctly...

Welcome to the site unickow! Good advice has been given already, I don't have much to add on that front. The restoration request is another question. It is hard to find someone who wants to do actually take something like that on without charging an arm and a leg. Of course then finding someone who is interested and knowledgeable in the intricacies of old VW's is another challenge. Your request has a lot a validity here as we all are on the hunt for someone to do such work. Many here are capable of doing such work, but often they are doing their own "for fun". Putting a price tag on such an endeavour can be a little shocking. Even small refurbishments can be eye openers when all added up….so we try not to do it . That all said, I know of only one person who might be willing to look at it. He is in Chemainus, but I don't have his number off hand. I will try to find it and, if found, I will PM you.
