So, I'm reupholstering a jump seat, using what good material I have, and pulled the back rest off and found this? The black rubber stopper is in a weird place huh ... I wonder if it was a mistake or different era. I have one coming from the mainland next week and this is what it looks like... Notice no stopper and the electrical box ... Anyone? *just noticed they are different shaped too*

The flip over table(that stows over the sink) used to rest on the low back of jump seat in the family's 70 Westy. Maybe the rubber bumper serves the same function?

Is the electrics a Westy product (Riviera) , maybe open it up and see if the install is original or a PO installed it in that seat base.

I'll have to wait till second one arrives to check electrical box. Pretty sure it's oe, after some surfing on thesamba. Looks like early split buses had a more squared type seat with plug, and later the came thru the wall

As for rubber, yea, I doubt it for sink top table. The foam is actually cut out around it, and ya think it would rip the vinyl.
