That was pretty cool. Wonder what size engines they were running. Wonder if the green one that lost the wheel used EMPI lugs??? Couldn't help but notice they were all Super Beetles. Maybe nobody wants to thrash the GOOD Beetles! Couldn't resist...

It looks like a blast. I wonder how many spectators they take out per rally?
I remember watching the Lombard RAC rally in Kielder Forest back in the early nineties. It was a similar setup with only some hazard tape between us and the cars. There were only a couple of Beetles, but lots of RS Cosworth Fords and the like. It was cold and wet, but I didn't want to leave!
