I bought a new Yamaha outboard and installed it myself it came packaged in steel crate that was made from formed sheet metal in built for strength there is ribbed folded rolled lapped stamped and flat sections all bolted to welded nuts plus spot welded together it is mostly 14 gauge some 12 gauge on the mounts super clean metal came in cardboard box. Parker Marine in Courtney get hundreds of these every year and they go to scrap. There are very few spot welds and the metal would be easy to salvage these are profiles you can use and can't buy.
