One of the Powell River VW guys here, looks like I'm the first! Theres actually a relatively healthy VW following here, unfortunately one of our biggest VW guys passed away recently, but there's still 5 or 6 of us who get together in the summer for some cruises. Anyways its good to see there are some other enthusiasts nearby! Also I couldn't live with the only reference to Powell River being my rusty old green Double Cab being discussed a few years back in the classifieds. I cannot believe he wanted $8000 for that piece of junk!

Hey there Brandon!
I have seen some nice VWs in PR. You are lucky to live in such a nice place. Too bad there are so many boat rides between here and there. Would be great if you guys could make it out for our annual show.
If you don't mind taking a pic of your next get together, we'd all love to see what you coastal guys are driving.

Haha no, I sold it for $500 and the guy I sold it to immediately listed it for $8000. Diss it all you want! When is your annual show? I need to take my bug out on a nice drive to stretch its legs. A few of us from PR were out at the show in Coombs when the VW Museum was still there, that was my last out of town show, would be nice to see some different cars.

Hey brandon I'm over at Oyster River straight across there are some Courtney Cumberland guys around we drive down to the show I was at Coombs also this is the same core group as that got any pictures of Powell River cars.

Welcome to the site Brandon! Our Cruise-In show is on the weekend after Labour Day, so a ways off.  Last year we were a bit lax in making up cruises, but this year I think the sentiment is to change that and get out more. Hopefully we can all get together! Unfortunately I don't think we have any pictures, at least that I can find. We are too busy talking about VW's we've found out in the woods apparently! (We have a surprising number of them here...). Once we start cruising around Ill snag a few!
