hello, my name is Harry and I moved to Qualicum Beach a few years ago. I have a canadian standard 1957 beetle, restored original with complete history of the car, it was in the show this last weekend. I have a 1965 single cab, mild custom, 1641, 009, header, kadrons, safari windows and two tone paint. I have a 1974 thing, restored with 1776, 44 webers, 009, header, hidden hitch, centerlines, and skid plates. I have a 1959 low light ghia with a 2110, 48 IDAs, header, a 5 inch chop top, flip front end, centerlines, full roll cage, wheelie bars, m&h slicks, a really loud 1970s style paint job, with a matching pit bike and car hauler. Has been a race car since the mid 70s in the portland seattle area. Looking forward to going to the shows in Victoria and Nanaimo and thunder in the valley this summer.

what do they have for a shutdown there Boris? I heard second hand that the shutdowns short and there are some hazards (curbs and poles)along the way. could've been sour grapes when i consider the source. luv to get some aircooled muscle together.

You should post up some pictures of your other VW's, Harry. Your pics at the show looked great.

I was only able to see a few hours last year and there was a few 115per mile times while I was there. the city cut the pavement and put in a concrete burnout box and lined the track with cement barrier's that are up year round. come and visit ill show you how it looks.

welcome to the forums! the day of the show I usually get a boat load of texts/pictures from friends of the vws that are at the show. Although THIS year almost all of them were a close up of your flower vase!

Hi Harry, and welcome to the forum. My name is John Coleman and I live in French Creek. I'm interested in VWs too, but not as seriously as you. Your collection sounds sweet. I've got a couple of dune buggies, a '74 super beetle(mild), and a '67 project beetle. Give me a call if you're interested in dropping in to see what passes for my man cave. My number is 250-248-6200.
P.S.: I'd really like to get a peek of your stash…
