OK I'll start a "computer stuff" thread. A couple of things have come up recently of interest to all. First what's the best virus protection software. I've been researching as Chris' laptop has a virus checker that is screaming for cash or it'll quit. After much searching around, surprisingly the windows 10 defender software has cropped up as quite a good protector from most virus and worm type bad software. When combined with a program called "Malwarebytes" either the free version or the $40/yr premium edition is supposed to be top of the line protection. Even from those nasty people who hijack your computer and then demand a ransom for either not releasing all your private data to the world, or unfreezing your computer (with the malwarebytes premium). I checked with my hi-tech son and he's of a similar mind for his computers and they are all protected to the eyeballs as they are his career. Stan

My "computer guy" is supposed to be coming over on Monday night to try and fix the PC. I spent too much time on it without success, so hopefully he can get it fully operational again...

malwarebytes is a solid choice. Been using it at work and home for years. Run with it! B
