So, I’m still having cv issues. It’s going in Monday to have alignment rechecked I had no clicking after alignment for less than a week It then started clicking, but only turning right at intersections. It has progressively gotten worse and started doing it while driving straight. Still mild, but enough to worry a vw owner. I pulled right side and reversed (tranny side to wheel side) It seemed to work and quieted it whilst driving straight Today I went for a ride and it had a horrible clicking noise upon basic driving. I climbed under to put axle back to the way it was. I noticed left side had leakage from boot, so pulled to inspect Cv on transmission side had grease that was quite liquified. Wheel side was normal. Cv on right sides were fine
So, ... “What do you think?”

CV joints operating outside design parameters or poor quality joints. Or both...
