Walking, walking, and more walking. Westwood Lake, Colliery Dams, and my awesome neighbourhood. Ate some blueberry pie. Started up the Fastback. Heard about a VW in a barn. Bought a lottery ticket. Didn't win. Back to work tomorrow. Damn.

A VW in a barn sounds like it could be exciting.
I'm at work, currently tied up in Skidegate.

Skidegate, eh? Gotta get back up there some day.... Collected supplies for the reno... thanks to Frank for the help! Did get a few nice walks in with Laurie and the dog, one up to Stocking Lake which the stunningly clear weather allowed for amazing coastal vistas...glad I took the binoculars

Well ........................................ I went camping! I hooked up with some other crazy people, who decided this weekend would be a good weekend for camping. Took off after work on Friday, though thru a miscalculation, I got a later ferry, which threw a screw into things a lil Instead of the 6 oclock, I got the 9:00 The plan was to go to Golden Ears Provincial Park and camp for a couple nights. Weather looked good, there seemed to be interest, so I figured, `What the hell! I spent the night at a friends house in White Rock, then headed to Maple Ridge the next morning. The park is about 20-30 minutes up behind. I got there just before 10, met a couple of the campers, got set up, and then this guy shows up. as the day went on, more and more people came up. Some to camp, some just to visit. Did a some exploring. The campsite is on Alloutte Lake.

I replaced the fuel lines on my 67 bus, which hasn't really been driven since I replaced them last. I really must put this thing back on the road this year!

Then, it was time to come home. Packin' up Monday morning, it was FREEZING! The coffee that was in my pot for the night before, was frozen. I had to chip the old grounds out to make more. I opened my bus up, after I had tried to keep warm, by leaving the heat on all night. It took some of the edge off, but you could still see your breathe. What it did do was, put a crap load of moisture on the inside of the window, which instantly froze when you get up and open the doors. All in all, it was an awesome time. Hangin' with some of "The VW Family". Nice ferry ride home, to boot .............

Funny, I was just visiting with an old friend last night and reminiscing about the Mobylette he had when we were teenagers, and all the (mis)adventures we had on it
