Just to show ya how cold it was, I found this while unpacking today Hmmmm. Let's see Brent....single, foot-loose and fancy free with the time and means to take off for the weekend---are we supposed to have sympathy for how cold it was? We get it. Try living in your Bus while working at a research trapline in the fall outside 100 Mile House when the condensate from your breath becomes a solid layer on the inside of the Westfalia top, only to have it melt and drip on your head after pulling the gas heater control knob just before getting up at 4am to check traps... Good times likely never to be relived. Don't mind me, I'm just a curmudgeon...TBH, cold or no cold, I am envious of your trip and I am glad you posted up your experiences, 'cause it looked like fun!

Once again we had a nice Family Day long weekend. Because of all of last weeks snow, a trip to Englishman River seemed like a great idea. A bit of a hike in this time, as the parking lot and gates were closed. But it was worth it once we got in there. Water looked so cold and clear, that I really wanted a drink, but thought better of it. Our students from Brazil and Mexico thought it was a pretty cool place as well. Later we went to Top Bridge park, and again everything was frozen nicely. I actually expected higher amounts of water flowing, but things have not melted in this area like they are in town. Lots of people hiked in to enjoy this place however. Rebecca seemed to be having the most fun, as she always enjoys looking at snow. Later we had a quick stop at Reagh and Robs house of VW. I forgot to whip out my camera, as Rob was having fun doing bodywork to his bus. How about an update with some pictures, Rob??? Overall it was a great day, and any benefits from the unexpected snow hiking, were lost when an early dinner at Triple O's materialized...
