Ok, best guess is that any multinational corp. only cares about it's shareholders, not it's customers. Canada is a relatively small market for them unlike the EU or US or China so we come in last place for many things. I was so miffed with Toyota and the Corolla Odometer "design feature" problem that when we bought our new Jetta a few weeks later I drove it to the Toyota dealership, parked it right in front of the managers office where he could see it and went in and told him to tell his bosses back East the result of their abandoning me with my problem pointing to our new Jetta. He wasn't pleased. Stan

At least it made it past 299k and then some. There are many vehicles out there that would be toast with that mileage.

350K and climbing. Put a lot of loving care into her early years and it's paying off now. Had to take it to Victoria with a load on a trailer hooked on behind and it did just fine over the Malahat last month. Stan
