magikbus, we share the same love of Dodge Power Wagons. These wonderful, indestructible old trucks were a big help in building the Alaska Highway.

That's a Legacy Power Wagon truck. They sell "new" (meaning every bolt, nut and piece of steel replaced with better than industry standard) for in the $140,000 range depending on the options you want. $44K is a steal. Get it NOW! And the first thing I'd do with it is draw a straight line to the Pacific Ocean on a map and drive it exactly on the line! OK, just re-read it and it isn't from Legacy. Cancel the above. Stan

There is a nice looking Power Wagon regularly seen in Nanaimo. I believe it sits on a later Dodge frame with a modern diesel too. It looks great!

Speaking of government vehicles, in the 80s my friend had an old BC Hydro truck once used to drive the power-line roads (a 4x4.) It was a '59 Jeep pickup like this one. He later stored it at a friend's place when he went off to work and recently thought it had probably been scrapped. It turns out the friend who stored it has passed it on to his son (with permission from my friend ) I believe they're restoring it, engine had seized after sitting for years. An air-cooled motor would have started right up.

That second FC looks very interesting with its bug eye headlights and more "hood" in front of the windshield. Looks like a custom job. Bigger engine? Curious. The "Concept" I believe was more than just a photoshop thing though. If they had made them Laurie and I would have been all over it…..before getting the FJ Here is the pickup version. Even the right colour for me.

OK, I guess you can't believe everything you see on the Interwebs. In fact there is an actual concept vehicle as Don mentioned...coool:

I know it's not VW, and I know it's not aircooled, but it's a neat vehicle. Stan btw it's owned by a Coleman collector in Austria.
