Thanks for the background info, Russ. Those bad things that plagued the original "club" are what makes me think that an informal arrangement may be best. It lessens the chances of abuses from unscrupulous people. I think most problems occur when expectations are not met. A formal club has rules that people expect to be followed. An informal arrangement seems best if you don't want to be disappointed by unmet expectations.

I was under the impression that some mentioned they liked the old name and logo. Restarting an "official" club with real rules and "elected" leaders did not seem to be what anyone was asking for. At least this is my opinion This. We can still have a club but it needn't be formal. I would think most of the car clubs around don't have meeting minutes taken etc, they just want to have a logo'd t-shirt, hoodie, hat or something that identifies them to others where their interest lies. IMO when things are pushed to get formalized, that is when troubles begin.

Exactly. You hit the nail on the head Don. The ole K I S S strategy. We may be small, but it all about having fun. Now, about them stickers, shirts, and coats.
