Tom has a raft of pics he'll be posting. Russ snapped a few but took a bit of a break and actually seemed relaxed, lol I'm waiting for Russ to post his first as he always has a great commentary to go along with his photos. Mine are more pro-bus but could be a good contrast

Given I had lots of time on my hands, I cranked up the '90's rock tunes, but unfortunately forgot my vintage cassette tape collection... I also played around with the on board MFA trip computer. At a steady speed of 80 km/h, the readout indicated 6.2L/100KM. That is 38 MPG (US gallon) or 45 MPG (Imperial gallon). Either way the fuel gauge did not drop much. Good thing too, because I filled it up with Chevron Super Supreme and it cost $80!!! Sorry Russ! It felt quite fast enough in a 50's bus with stock running gear. I hit 85kph a couple of times and 90 kph once. The tracking is close on the front, but needs more fettling in the rear. The faster I went, the tighter I held onto the steering wheel. Directional stability is not my bus's strong point!

Directional stability is not my bus's strong point! I am willing to bet that with very few exceptions, no VW Bus' strong point is directional stability....at least not from my experiences, even the ball joint front ended variety It was great to see your Bus making the trek to VOLKSFEST Mark!
