Yup. We meet up at the Rona parking lot around 7:00 AM, and wait for others to show up. Then we leave at 7:30 am. This generally works well and gives us enough time to get there, set up, and be fully ready for when the show opens up...

Waiting patiently for pics. Sad I missed it again. Guess I'll be living vicariously thru you guys Brent! We missed you at the show, perhaps we can have an impromptu gathering in a field when you come back, and there is always September!

Tom has a raft of pics he'll be posting. Russ snapped a few but took a bit of a break and actually seemed relaxed, lol

I was impressed that Russ drove a water pumper to the show. It was his immaculate GTi of course. He must have been disappointed to have been slowed down by my bus. Thanks to Russ, Brian and Don for sticking with me for the run home. It got a little warm climbing the Malahat, but nothing to worry about too much in the shirt term. I really need to ditch my wonky gauge and find an accurate one!

Pics are loading on to Imgur right now...
While waiting for this to happen, I can tell you it was a very slow ride down in the GTI. Given I had lots of time on my hands, I cranked up the '90's rock tunes, but unfortunately forgot my vintage cassette tape collection... I also played around with the on board MFA trip computer. At a steady speed of 80 km/h, the readout indicated 6.2L/100KM. That is 38 MPG (US gallon) or 45 MPG (Imperial gallon). Either way the fuel gauge did not drop much. Good thing too, because I filled it up with Chevron Super Supreme and it cost $80!!!
Also this year I was not able to take a photo of every single air-cooled VW there. The show continues to grow, and I just don't have the time or patience to shoot every car. So for this time around, I tried to get photos of cars not seen in previous years, and some general views containing multiple cars...
