Hello to everyone here. Thanks for the add to this club, I drove my van to one meeting at south Nanaimo Timmies before the snow storms and met a few club members there. The wife and I are looking forward to lots of camping trips this year and getting out to VW related social events too. My plans are to build another engine for the bus for a spare, and drive her year round. It would be great to meet other club members, and if anyone wants to drop by my place in Lantzville, please PM me or email me anytime for contact info and address, coffee is always on. Cheers!

Hey Jim, was nice to hear from stephanie that you bought darryl/owen gardiners old bus. lots of history there if you ever want to sit and talk about it. My bug is on a property at southwind drive right now. Where are you guys? I ll be picking it up this week. Always good to see one of the og Nanaimo VW guys join the forms. PS...dont let that micheal convince you to put in a corvair engine or something like that!! cheers bud and welcome

haha no Corvair engine for me!! I'm leaning towards a R2.8L Cummins diesel conversion with a PMC delete Actually, I want to build a 1776 or 1810 for her, go for a little more power while keeping reliability.

Hey Jim thanks for the bitchen Key Blank. I think a 1776 with a w100 cam with some stock valve heads with hd single springs with a carb and exhaust upgrade would be a good choice for the bus!
