I was digging through my pile of bumpers today and found this one. Looks like it might be for a Bus, but it's aluminum. Any ideas?

Def looks like a rear bay bumper, but weird. Never seen one that wasn't metal. Nice shape though

I'll take a guess. Type 4 bumper? I think I read somewhere they were alloy, but I might have imagined that...

Winner winner chicken dinner! (Man, that sounds like I was testing you all instead of trying to figure it out along with you all!)
Turns out the 1974 Type IV bumpers were aluminum. One year only. This is a rear bumper. Do we know anyone with one of those cars that might be interested in acquiring it at a very reasonable price?

GLWS. I don't know of many Type 4 aficionados...

We only like type 4's for their engines we can stuff in the type 2s...

Both of you have some glaring holes in your car collection list. You NEED to have the much maligned 411 or 412 added to it. So start with the bumper....

That would be a good way to start the most expensive build ever!
I seem to recall a 411 or 412 for sale in Sooke or something like that in the not-too-distant past. It did have an engine....but I don't remember if it had a bumper!

Looks like a late (1972-1974) Karmann Ghia Bumper.

Looks like a late (1972-1974) Karmann Ghia Bumper. Might fit the 72/73 cars, but turns out the only aluminum ones were 74.
