Maybe it was from Russ' rare plunger collection!

Yup...that's weird. Glad they gave you a new one. Can you imagine how long it took them to gather the courage to go out plunger hunting at that time?

Ok so I had another one of those odd dreams... So a customer brings into the shop, not a cool vintage VW, but a very unusual lawnmower from the late fifties. Hadn't run in years, but this was quickly rectified. But how did it work? The construction featured a lightweight and flimsy plastic deck, a very large two-stroke engine, and an external tank for soap solution??? The deck also featured two foot shape imprints, where you would stand to operate it. Huh? And the name was very unusual as well. Most of you probably have heard of Lawn Boy, and there were copycats from back in the day too (my ancient lawnmower is actually a "Moto-Boy"). Well the mower in my dream was called the "Bubble Boy"! And indeed it was. Once it was started, the soap solution was injected into the exhaust and it literally blew out bubbles and sounded like the space vehicles from the Jetsons of course. So now it was time for a test drive of this contraption and my boss Jeff was elected to do this. So he climbed aboard and hit the throttle! Imagine having a mower that has so much power it can cut grass at high speeds and NEVER bogs down. For anything... So for some reason Jeff's wife shows up and sees this thing and thinks it is cool. And volunteers to cut the grass with it (no longer at the shop of course, but some swanky resort with lot of grass, and a large hill leading down to a gravel parking lot. Well you know how this will end. The Bubble-Boy fired up with a roar, and tore off down the hill doing at least 85 mph. And yes when it hit the gravel, the flying rocks caused, uh severe damage, to pretty much everything and everyone... Then I woke up. Pretty tame dream by my standards, but a memorable one none the less... And I didn't eat anything weird before bed this time, either...

Only you could have a dream where a 2 stroke bubble machine engine was showcased...

Maybe I should talk about one of my favourites, traveling on the Interdimensional Time Train. That was quite the ride...

Very cool thread...first time read. Sounds like you come by your " right brain " writing and storytelling skills quite naturally. Most people need to use some form of chemical stimulant, to get in there. Sugar soaked donuts are not generally their first choice...although quite often used during the journey/trip to accommodate the "munchies" desire. When you are done pulling wrenches for a career, you might seriously consider putting those weird journeys to paper. I'll definitely buy every book in the series and deliver a constant supply of bedtime doughnuts. Weird Stuff by Volktales.

My lovely wife finally returned home after more than two months on the other side of the world, visiting her Dad. The next day I felt like I had a cold coming on so she insisted I take some of her new Chinese medicine that she brought home with her. Oh my, the dreams that night! Very far out even by my standards, and just too violent and not appropriate to repeat here. Was still feeling the effects at work the next morning and vowed never to take that medicine again!!!

Just a very quick one, and not very weird by my standards, but probably unique to me. Last night while dreaming about cars again, this time I focused on my $100 Acura. Unfortunately I can't remember the details, but let's just say I converted it from a boring four door sedan into a very sweet sporty coupe and it looked fantastic! And it was a piece-O-cake easy job to do it too. If only reality worked like that. I think tonight I am going to restore my original 1970 Green Beetle that has been rotting in the backyard for 22 years now. Pleasant dreams...
