Hey Jim, here is a pic of the burner bell on mine. I wouldn't be quick to re-adjust yours until you light it up. The present condition of yours might just give it a nice flame pattern. Notice the round aluminum plate beside my stove? It's to put on under a pot to "simmer" so it cuts down on the heat produced by this volcano of a stove. Also in the second pic you'll see my pre-heat cup with the glass wood stove gasket in it to make for a good solid pre-heat which cuts down on the afore mentioned volcano aspect of this stove which sometimes occurs on light up if it's not fully pre-heated. btw as to value, there's quite a range of prices currently being asked for your lantern, on ebay, US dollars of course. www.ebay.com/p/1803907170Here's your burner bell for the 520/530 stove. Parts are still available. www.ebay.com/itm/Coleman-1940s-Military-520-Stove-Burner-Cup-World-War-2-Vintage-Camping/352886547198?hash=item5229ad62fe:g:SKMAAOSwYBpd8EkMStan

Hi Russ, yes I have a green one. The difficulty is finding the propane cylinders for them as they aren't being made anymore. And Yes Rob the 431 is the "workhorse" stove for camping. Sometimes they need a little work to tame them but when they are running well they are bullet proof. White gas only. Stan
