Has the Honda been behaving itself? Multiple times I tried to remember to check the info for you online, and managed to forget the entire week! That is what working on swapping engines and transmissions in a Vanagon diesel will do to you all week...

I had my own electrical problems this week. On German made eBikes if you can belive it. Probably paled in comparison in complexity, but funnily enough the cost of the bikes I was working on exceeded the value of most of my cars...LOL

Sooo, I finally remembered to look this up for you, Tony. Most common cause of draw on Honda Elements include: A/C clutch relay, radio malfunction, battery itself, driver's power window switch/door lock switch, add-on security systems, multiplex integrated circuit, any door latch/jamb switch. Normal draw is less then 50 ma. Note that the common draws listed are in order of most common. A/C clutch relay causes most of the issues. Hope this helps...

Thanks for the info. Russ , I'll keep it handy! Since my post regarding everything is currently (get it?) working ok , it is still ok. I haven't been putting the charger on overnight and it's starting fine every time , must be the new snow tires! I think I may even experiment and reinstall the microscopic stock type battery and see if it can hold it's own. I charged it up about two weeks ago and it's just sitting on the workbench and still seems good. The ol' lady will be away for a month so I'll leave the Element sitting for one week before trying to start it and see if the battery isn't drained. Thanks Russ! 😎
