Hope you are settling in well. Miss the fuzzball already. Is Goldberg ok with the move? The Freightliner survived did it??? Bus packed away nice and dry for the winter? Snow on the ground yet??? Hope everything works out well for you there. What part of Alberta do you now live? Spotted any Corvairs for sale in the area yet???

Settling in slowly. It’s been a bit of work renoing a bedroom for myself, multiply dump runs to clean up sheds for storage, and dealing with selling the home. The Freightliner was amazing loaded. Lucky me left during that blast of winter a few weeks back. I checked the mpg and it got 27 on one of my calculations. I’m guessing an average of 25 mpg. It goes in for inspection Monday. Goldberg is being a bit of a cranky pants, as I’m in a home with three other dogs. He’ll get over it, I hope. Today, it turned white , and I’m told it will stay for six months, So it might be tough to spot any corvairs, but I’ll keep an eye out
Cheers

. Six months of snow? Oh my... It's not the snow in central AL that sucks the life out of you, it's the wind! Stan

Ah Ghost snow! Swirling around an inch or so above a black road on a 40 below night time drive. You just know you've got great traction because the snow is so cold it isn't slippery like yucky, mucky wet sloppy coastal snow.
Just because a 30 mph wind bumps the wind chill up to -80 something it's nothing cause you've got wool longjohns, heavy wool pants, a wool sweater over your tee shirt and regular shirt and you're wearing a long down parka with a wolverine rimmed tunnel With smowmobile sorrels on your feet and a 3 layer wool mitt/nylon outer set on your hands. You know you can collapse in a snow drift to get some sleep and wake up next morning ok, ready to dig your truck out of a snowdrift and get home in time for breakfast.
That's the life! Stan
