I picked up a cool old plate fits the year of my car at least. Whan I lived in the states you could use Year of Manufacture plates. Can we use them here in BC?

I can answer that 100%. NOPE! BC does not allow this, but I believe Ontario does. If it was allowed here, I would have them on all my cars... Plate looks great on your '56!

That is a real shame. The old year related plates look fantastic on these old cars. I guess the new reflective plates make our cars way safer.

I guess that plate is the only thing I could add to my car to make it less safe. It's a death trap. I did put in lap belts that should give me like 3 safety points. With the reduction Of the flat paint on the plate that should only be a -1 for safety. Maybe BC will follow Ontario some day but it seems ICBC makes good money charging for new plates every time I go in.
