There are some real advantages to having opening cargo doors instead of sliders...

Yup I guess I should have added it's only applicable to vehicles with opening cargo doors. It didn't interest me anyway because anything hanging out like that would surely catch on branches and stuff. Stan

You should get it Stan , I noticed it has the quick release spring option at the bottom so if you come into contact with branches the unit gets ripped from your vehicle with minimal vehicle damage! lol 😁

It would be great for Volksfest. However, I would worry about having the kitchen exposed like that for a number of reasons including critters, and potential theft. The price seems very reasonable considering the cost of materials and custom fabrication. I agree there are serious advantages with swing doors, they are easier to maintain and you can sneak out to the washroom when camping without waking anyone up!

It's just for use when parked , it would fall off if you drove with it on. Throw it inside the bus or garage when not in use.

Oh. I bought one for when I was driving down the highway. I'd better send it back!

...this does raise the who idea of a chuck box once again, something to think about as we head into spring...
