There used to be an orange bay window Westfalia abandoned in a field near Heritage Acres off the Pat Bay Highway near Victoria. I went past the other day and it appears to be gone, or at least moved. I wonder if one of those trolling Westfalia ads in Used Victoria found its mark? Anyone know or remember this bus? Here it is in 2010, it must have been pretty funky inside, and perhaps corroded sitting on grass for years.

I spotted that burgundy type 3 fastback tooling around in Ladysmith again, it seems to be a 16 year old kid and now it has an "N" on the back. Ouch. Stan

They'd have to be at least 17 to have an "N". Lucky bugger!

I recently saw this beauty hiding in a Victoria driveway, have seen it once before, also parked awaiting some TLC. Anyone recognize this bus?

I recently saw this beauty hiding in a Victoria driveway, have seen it once before, also parked awaiting some TLC. Anyone recognize this bus? My cousin recently bought that bus. He was all excited about it until his brother looked it over for him and found that the frame was dangerously rotted out around the rear torsion tube. Last time I spoke to him he was going to be returning it to the seller.

What did he pay for the bus, and is it fixable do you think?

He was supposed to give the guy $350 for it. Last time I spoke to him he hadn't yet paid for it, and decided it was more of a project than he was up for. Apparently the seller was going to come and take it back. It was hard to tell from the crappy phone pics how bad it was, but it didn't look terrible. For $350 you couldn't really go wrong, but my cousin is not a mechanic or welder.

I wonder if it could be fixed, for someone else. For $350 there would be more than that in parts, easily.

On my victory tour with lights, both hi and low beams, with signals, I spotted this at the Gab ferry ..

I've seen that one a couple of times. Looks nice. A bit too low for ferries and the roads on Gabriola though.

That one is very nice, isn't it? Have seen it on several occasions and it is never dirty.

Bumper bolt covers, nice attention to detail.

Russ, for some reason I thought the one we have seen at A&W had collector plates? I'd like to see this one have it's front plate looking not so ragged and since it is on a stand-off mount, moved up. I have some of those bumper bolt covers and could have used them on the green machine, but I am saving them for my Riviera when it gets some cosmetics touched up.
