Looking good Rob. I was up in Errington with the family at the Wildlife Recovery Centre today and thought out loud about stopping by. The kids weren't keen on being left in the truck again whilst we chatted. They still don't "get" old VWs. Not sure if they ever will. I'll have to stop by soon and say hi.

Ok its official Reagh and I are not woodtics!!!! Putting in the roof today with the usual tools, rubber mallet, jigsaw, angle grinder and drill. Its in but definetly not pretty. It 's not completly finished but only needs a few tweeks to get er done hahahaha and try and hide mistakes. Next time we do woodwork Don will be offered a couple gallons of beer and all the pizza he can eat to try and convince him to come help.

But it is insulated and with a couple of feature (cover) trims.......it's onto the side panels. Keeping with the VW theme of "functional and fugly"

They're not fugly... I used some plastic trim pieces to cover the seams on my headliner panels. It has a faux wood look, is flexible and pops into place. We found the trick was to cut it slightly over length, so that the ends tuck down into the rail around the perimeter of the roof. It's a product from the UK, but I'm sure you could find something suitable over here.
