Hey , I'm Sean. For me, I think vws started when I was about 2. My parents bought a red and white 23 window bus. Still remember it like it was yesterday. Wish it was yesterday. Actually they had a bug while I was still in the womb. I guess it's in me from day 1. But it wasn't just my parents that had vdubs, it was my extended family too. My dad's mom had a Squareback as did her best friend. My moms dad had a fastback. One uncle had a 56 oval and a dune buggy. The next uncle had a 74 vert and now has a 78 vert. A third uncle had at least 1 bug and now has a Jetta. 2 of my brothers and I started out with an oval baja and a couple of old Squarebacks and we've continued with vws on and off til today. The last time we counted, I think we came up with 36 and that was a few years ago. I still have them and always will.

Wow! That is heckuva lot of VWs! Very cool! You must have pics you could post to make us all drool? Not to mention remember the 'good ol' days' I have a very short video of my dad and mum in their 57Agave Green Beetle. Unfortunately at this point it only exists on VHS and I have yet to get it digitized so I can post it with my other Youtube videos. From what I understand my mum's brother(i.e. my uncle) bought and drove a VW around in Europe. I should clarify whether it was a Bug or Bus. Here he had a 65 Green/White 11 window Type 2. Growing up I remember always wanting it (he said it would be mine a number of times), but it eventually got given to a millionaire electrician friend of his who worked in the affluent Kerrisdale district in Vancouver. He trashed it I now have Uncle's 75 that he talked about selling for 15 yrs then gave up and it became essentially mine. The 60 Beetle my parents had(traded the 57 in because of visibility issues ) lasted until my sister's arrival in 62 necessitated a bigger car. At that point, classic cars VW were not
