The only dune buggy that showed up was this beauty owned by Jim and Maureen. Their dog Bailey was awesome as well!
This neat Ford was displayed by the owner of the food truck. Those hot dogs went down great by the way...
I did not get any info on this fancy looking Porsche. Looked pretty fine in red.
And if you did not like red, how about the sinister black version. Don't like either???
Then get your hands on this GT3 RS. I was told this was by far the most $$$ car there. Stan would probably like it...
This '64 Beetle was parked outside the show. Don't know who owned it...
Brian arrived in his '72 Ghia. He has been ignoring this in favour of his '72 bus for most of the season. Guess he better get a '72 914 next...
Christie's '74 Thing was looking fantastic in the sun. And she drives it like she stole it too! Or so I have been told...
Jeff brought Dean's old Beetle to the show. This '73 was well loved by its previous owner and is looking fantastic. One of the best driving Beetles around...
Sidney stopped by in yet another '72 Westfalia. He spent the last year rebuilding his engine by himself and now things are coming together nicely. Looks good!
Those splitty bus coolers are pretty cool. Think they will ever make a bay window version???
Don had his SAAB out to the show too. He started it often to the delight of the crowd, or the chagrin, depending on who you talked too... Two stroke power, baby! Don also had his single cab there as the door prize table, as well as Reagh with his double cab.
An early orange SuperBeetle was spotted outside the gate...
Later on Mark arrived in his '78 teal and white Westfalia. He just finished camping and stopped by on his way home. Leisure battery installation time soon...
Also snagged a pic of Ken's '63 split near the end of the show.
And there it was, the end to a great show! And after compiling these pictures, I realized I missed taking photos of Marks' beloved '57 RHD bus. He snuck out to pick up his Dad, so that is my excuse for missing the pic.
Overall things went quite well. We had hoped to get more cars, and that is why everyone was squeezed together in the lot. Next time around the parking will be somewhat different, and likely the event will be held somewhat earlier. The same format will continue, with donated door prizes, good times, and FREE to enter. You just can't beat THAT, can you?
Once again thanks to all that attended, and all those who generously donated prizes to be given away. You all know who you are... See you next year...
