I did manage to get my Saab back together for the Ladysmith Rod Run and Show and Shine the next day. Laurie went with me on the Rod Run and it was a lot of fun! I have done these alone and it isn't nearly as much fun TBH as one does have to watch the road and not run into the car in front of you when "stunting". Lost of people were of course in real hot rods and could muster a quick burnout here and there, so I had to make up for my diminutive presence with my exhaust note and a quick run thru the gears, or just a rev or two. We got lots of quizzical looks, but that was half the fun(IMO anyway). Leaving home with sun in my eyes Gettin' to the Dub Taken at Roberts and Main Street. This was one of the quick-off-the-line areas(burnout). Surprisingly, I did muster a chirp or two coming up Main and thru this intersection. Gave people a laugh. My friend took this "live" pic, but I don't know if it will "move" here. Not that this gives the impression of it being so, but there were lots of people along the route. An "old-timey" good time Finished up just before dark. Lots of prizes, but our tickets weren't winners unfortunately. Still lots of fun though.

Carrying on... Boxy and black just plain looks good sometimes! Nice work truck The now ever-popular 240Z I think we agreed that refrigerator white was too stark against the red. Nice otherwise though. Another early Pick'em Up. Liked the colour, but not sure about the originality of the box though. Needing a truck? A different Maverick from the KMS Show. All the way from Sechelt! One for Stude on the site Wonder what it has for power? John lives a few walking minutes from my house. He moved from Ontario not too long ago. This car means business! It has been a magazine car A definite favourite of mine when I see it, a Falcon Sprint This was a big "Judged" winner. Quite a spectacular car. Check out them Dagmars! Who needs green tinted windows with that interior?! Phat Olive Drab always gets my attention So does this green too...I used to live near the Zuiderzee Campsite out in Yellow Point. It was a good place to put the canoe or sailboat in the lake

Soooo, now time for my pictures. I have always appreciated early Mustangs, and this '65 Fastback was quite nice. Those Shelby signed dashboards are much more common than you might think... Liked the colour on this '67 Mustang more than anything. This car would likely have had the thin line whitewall tires when new, and needs them now... Don already took a picture of this, but I liked it too. This belongs to Brian's neighbour, and that is Brian on the left in the background talking to him... Although not my favourite year of GTO, it did look pretty menacing sitting there. This Chrysler Newport Custom was a BIGGIE! I am a fan of these early second generation Camaros, but can do without the vinyl roof. A nice mid-'60's Plymouth Sport Fury with sweet rims. "Squarebody" pickups like this are hot, and this one was very nice! This '63 Ford Galaxie with a 427 V8 under the hood was pretty mean. And also picture number 8000 loaded up to the IMGUR account... Although I have seen it in the past, it has been awhile since I laid eyes on this shiny red '68 Cougar. My old Jamaican Yellow '67 Cougar would have looked awesome parked next to this... Continued...

This is a Toyota MR2 Spyder, a third generation model that was not sold in Canada. It was available in the US, and that is where this LHD car was originally sold. Pretty unique looking ride. Don took several pics of that '56 Monarch Richelieu earlier, but his is another interior shot. Damn that was a nice and RARE Canadian only car. I liked the copper colour on this first generation Barracuda. Pretty rare car today, but never had the popularity of the Mustang. I like orange, so this fat fendered Mercury hot rod caught my eye. This rodded up early Chevy Hardtop was looking good as well. Getting tired, so going to bed now. I will leave you to figure out what the above car actually is... Continued tomorrow...

Puzzling over a '76 442? :-) Not many of those around here.
I was behind you in the Saab for a while, it actually seemed to scoot along pretty good for what it is!
