Hey Everyone, It has been finalized...This year we are going to try our luck at having Bavarianfest Cruise-In early in the season, namely on June 23rd. It'll be a time for people to get together and check out what's going on in the island "Euro" car world. First and foremost we hope this cruise-in garners a good contingent of air cooled VW's, but we are also hoping to see some vintage and perhaps modern cars that have shared European(and speaking for myself, Scandinavian ) roads. This will be a good time to iron out the "bugs" for those drivers taking part in the Victoria VW Club's Volksfest Weekend a few weeks later, but without the two events being too close together. This year we hope to see a great many cars and from feedback from last year's event, we will be parking the cars with more space around them and utilizing to a better degree the space around Bavarian afforded to us by virtue of it being a Sunday. Anyhow, hope to see you there. Cheers, Don

I start work at noon that day and we are camping that weekend. I plan to be there for at least part of the day though. I may have to drop the bus off in the morning, leave and come back. Somehow, I'll be there.

I'd love to bring my buggy out for it's first show but I don't know if I'll have it registered and plated/towable by then. Maybe if someone's trailer is available it would give me a push to get more done by June...

It would be some effort to see your build in person, but worth it as even if not finished it would be a great talking piece at the Cruise-In

I thought I should post this link here to jar peoples' minds about the Giveaways for this Cruise-In. For a lot of people this meet has a "homey" feel because we strive to have everyone entered go home with a token of appreciation for bringing out with their ride. Reagh and Rob have contributed extraordinarily in the past and still seem to be the most voluminous personal prize contributors. What would be great is if others could start helping carry the torch by making contributions. Items don't have to be toys and they don't necessarily even have to be new, but they should be of some value to a car enthusiast. So scour your shops and think about making a contribution this year, eh? miacvw.proboards.com/thread/1889/bavarianfest-2024-giveawaysI have contacted Keiran and he has agreed to once again work on the poster art. I am hoping Klynt will soon(as promised) provide me with names of businesses for the poster who are contributing the the giveaways. It'd be great to see them get something out of the Cruise-In too(increased business traffic?) as we do appreciate anything we can dole out to our great community of air-coolers and beyond. Once the poster is complete, perhaps Rob S's company will print it?
