For those of you who have Craftsman tools in you collection, hope you don't need warranty... Apparently Sears is doing as much as they can to no longer honour tool warranties. It is no secret that in recent years, the quality of the tools they sell has been going down as everything is being made offshore now. There are LOTS of examples of this on the internet with Sears in both Canada and the U.S. refusing warranty if the tool has ANY sign of rust. In many cases the tool you are taking in is "no longer made in that model" and a NON warranty tool may be substituted therefore ending you lifetime warranty. It seems it depends on who you talk to in the store and which store you use. As usual, those who argue the most, will probably get results... Don needs to take in a broken breaker bar, let's see how successful he is...

the warranty was one of the best things going .it also got you in the store, they have forgotten what worked for years and is another thing bringing them down.soon to be another target sell off.
