This is the 1977 Westfalia that Steve traded his long suffering 56 Beetle for. It needs the trans and clutch replaced, first job was to raise the back end. Steve went a little overboard but the extra woking height was nice. Engine and trans came out without too much drama, other than the monsoon rains! Once out other things needed attention... The rear engine mounts were found to be broken. Looks like the fan housing will have to come off! Also the like new used clutch sourced for it was found to be from a smaller 1800cc motor instead of the proper 2 Litre. It came with the replacement trans which was the right type so this was not expected. Damn. Anyway Steve will use the time delay to do some cleaning underneath so that is a good thing... To be continued...

Steve has been busy with life in general and unfortunately has not had the time to do much else with this project. Some interesting developments are on the way however....
