What a waste - the Beetle, not Clarkson. I would have had that one! Jokes aside, does the BBC really expect Top Gear to achieve the same ratings without him? (Clarkson, not the Beetle)

the Fezzer was always opinionated,brash,and in no way politically correct,and that's why fans loved the show,he said what others wanted to but wouldn't. hero or zero,times have changed and there is no pardon for violence in the workplace....damn

The "attack" was reported as being unprovoked, however to get a punch in the face just out of the blue seems to be a rather strange occurrence. How do we know that the producer who was punched was not being a bully in the workplace? Also, how do we know that Clarkson does not have a latent mental illness that "caused" him to be unstable when bullied or by another show related circumstance? These are two big issues currently at the fore in Canadian society. I think mental bullying of adults is something we like to turn a blind eye to…just look at how Harper bullies the opposition and the people of Canada in the House with his "security" bill. Some people here are too young to understand what Orwell's 1984 was all about and it seems like a distant memory to others, but just pause to give it some thought. However, I digress. I think the whole Clarkson thing wreaks. There is something not being said. I am not the biggest Clarkson fan, but I think the knee jerk reaction of firing him is unwarranted, unless it is just a scheme to boost already high ratings. Sure, fine him for intolerable behaviour, but fire? Bit of an overkill. Okay…rant over…back to your regular scheduled programming….how 'bout those 'Nucks eh??  |

This show is supposed to be a fan of cars, but they refer to the Volkswagen as "another awful Beetle." The whole concept should have stayed as a crazy idea. I guess this is what happens when you hand over hundreds of thousands of pounds to a bunch of 12 year old boys.

yeah clarkson hates bugs, one line of his i thought was quite memorable was "while the ferrari feels like a extension of God the porsche 911 feels like a hopped up bug!"  |

I didn't know what it was that Clarkson did until I looked it up. Then read about all the other ignorant things he has said and done too. Some were meant in "fun", others were just outright racist. He was kind of fun to watch however with his smart ass comments. Although he hated Beetles, he did admit that one of his favourite all time cars is the VW Mark II Golf GTI 16 valve. And I keep forgetting I happen to have one of those doing nothing but take up space in my garage...  . |
